meter is a static portfolio project that displays activity data from the clockwork CLI. meter does not call an AI service or send loaded exports to one. It only visualizes clockwork export data in your browser. The default data is a synthetic sample generated at build time and does not describe a real person or project. The site has no analytics, tracking pixels, cookies, non-essential browser storage, automated decisions, profiling, advertising, or marketing. The source code is public, so you can verify these claims.
The site requires two kinds of processing: hosting logs collected by GitHub and email you choose to send us. The sections below explain both.
This site is hosted on GitHub Pages, a service of GitHub, Inc. (88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). When your browser requests a page, GitHub's servers automatically process:
Purposes: delivering the requested content and maintaining the security, integrity and availability of the service (e.g. defending against attacks and abuse).
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is providing a functioning, secure website; a web server cannot deliver content without processing the requesting IP address.
Recipient and role: GitHub, Inc., a subsidiary of Microsoft Corporation. This site runs on a free, personal GitHub Pages account under GitHub's standard terms; there is no Art. 28 GDPR data-processing agreement between us and GitHub for these logs, and we have no access to them. GitHub collects and uses the request logs for its own delivery, security and abuse-prevention purposes and therefore acts as an independent controller for them, under its own Privacy Statement. GitHub confirms that GitHub Pages logs visitor IP addresses (see About GitHub Pages).
Transfer to a third country: processing may take place in the USA. The transfer is safeguarded by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF): GitHub's parent company, Microsoft Corporation, is certified under the DPF, listed on the official Data Privacy Framework list, which provides an adequate level of protection under Art. 45 GDPR.
Retention: we operate no server and receive no copy of these logs. Any retention is determined by GitHub as controller under its own policies; logs are typically kept only for the period necessary for delivery and security purposes and then deleted or anonymized.

Purposes: receiving, reading and answering your inquiry and any follow-up correspondence.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your message concerns steps prior to or the performance of a contract or (pre-)contractual relationship; otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in responding to inquiries directed at us.
Processor: the mailbox is operated by Proton AG (Route de la Galaise 32, 1228 Plan-les-Ouates, Geneva, Switzerland). Data is stored on servers in Switzerland and the European Union. Switzerland is recognized by the European Commission as providing an adequate level of data protection (Art. 45 GDPR). See Proton's Mail privacy policy.
Retention: we delete ordinary inquiries no later than six months after the matter is closed, unless a longer period is required to assert, exercise or defend legal claims, or to comply with statutory retention obligations.
If you use Load .json or drag a clockwork export onto the page, that file is read locally by your browser using the File API. It is never uploaded to us, to GitHub, or to any other server. PNG images created with Export PNG are generated in your browser and downloaded directly to your device. We neither receive nor store any of this content.
This site sets no cookies and stores nothing in local storage or session storage. No consent banner is required because no non-essential information is stored on or read from your device (§ 25 TDDDG).
Under the GDPR you have the right to request access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20). Where processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f), you also have the right to object on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21). Where processing rests on consent, you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details above.
